Field Sales Solutions paint London Pink for Ocean Spray launch


EFMP UK Partner, Field Sales Solutions have successfully completed a two phased, robust, field sales and distribution strategy right across London for Ocean Sprays newest product, ‘Sparkling Pink Cranberry’ in a can.

Ocean Spray launched Sparkling Pink Cranberry in May 2021 with a core campaign message, ‘Bubbles with Benefits’. An apt appellation, as the Sparkling Pink Cranberry is made from concentrated cranberry juice, containing only natural ingredients, and it is completely free from artificial colours, flavourings, and preservatives. The product is a perfect fit for the impulse channel and also for the ever-growing numbers of health-conscious consumers who now look to convenience stores to provide premium products and ranges. 

The importance of convenience has been a key focus during the pandemic, and as consumers become increasingly comfortable resuming pre-pandemic activities, the significance of local convenience stores is only set to grow. Understanding this influence, the campaign focused on leveraging  the Field Sales Solutions  convenience database to identify premium independent convenience stores located across greater London, that were considered to be the right outlets for the brand.

The objective was to ensure that relevant convenience retailers had the product brought to and stocked directly in store, as well as educating  stockists  about the new ‘on the go’ healthy alternative, which is set to be a key ongoing SKU for retailers. To ensure that the outlets  they sold into would remain stockists of the new brand,  Field Sales Solutions provided vouchers for repeat purchases from local wholesalers, driving brand loyalty and lasting distribution. The Field Sales Solution team also drove added awareness through providing an on-brand team for Ocean Spray Sparkling Pink Cranberry in a can and by offering consumer sampling in and around the stores called on. The team also rewarded new stockists with branded t-shirts and merchandise to aid these retailers in driving sales  going forward.

The Field Sales Solutions’ expert team achieved a fantastic 1,064 new distribution points in the first wave of activity and exceeded the sales target by 13%. For the second phase, they secured a further 1,889 new distribution points, once again exceeding the sales targets, this time by a further 17%. Overall, they achieved an incredible 52% strike rate in outlets called on, far exceeding expectations.
