Settimo Piano Launch CrossCall in Italy.

The EFMP’s Italian partners, Settimo Piano, are working with CrossCall, the creators of and leaders in the outdoor mobile phone technology market. CrossCall, one of the top 5 growing companies in France, offers tough, waterproof mobile phones and smartphones designed for the outdoor enthusiast who needs a mobile which is suited to difficult and unpredictable environments (water, rain, wind, humidity, dust, shock …) encountered by athletes and field professionals.

TIM is Italy’s largest telecommunications company, and since February, Settimo Piano have made about 1101 TIM store visits to enhance the presence of CrossCall’s range of mobiles. They do this by educating staff about CrossCall and by creating the ‘perfect store’ experience for customers.

Settimo Piano selected a team of young tech-savvy individuals as ambassadors of CrossCall, and after an intensive online training program through their web-based system, Sphera, they were ready to visit and educate TIM staff around the country. Comprehensive training on the use, benefits and unique features of the CrossCall range of mobiles was given to all TIM employees. To create the perfect store experience, bespoke display units were placed in-store along with other POS marketing material. All meetings and visits, including pictures and action notes, were well documented by the ambassadors on their mobile devices, and they were visible instantly through the web-based system, Sphera.

Ironman 70.3 in Pescara, Italy is the perfect place to find some of CrossCall’s target market, ‘’the hardened outdoor athlete’’, so Settimo Piano created a ‘CrossCall Point’’ where an impressive tented demonstration area was hosted by ambassadors including well known tri-athletes who signed autographs, entertained participants and promoted the CrossCall range.

As part of an ongoing activation, Settimo Piano will manage a team of ambassadors who will closely monitor 400 strategically picked stores to ensure the products are explained correctly, making sure that staff know the capabilities of the various phones on offer, while keeping them up to date with product developments and new models.

Stores will be visited on a monthly basis and all feedback, including competitor activations, will be documented through Sphera, which allows CrossCall to keep up to date with proceedings.

All these initiatives are being  undertaken by Settimo Piano to ensure exposure of the product in the competitive market of mobile phones, and to highlight the features which make these products relevant for those who choose or need a mobile device able to endure harsh outdoor environmental conditions.
